The Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF) has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the police and other security stakeholders to address the State’s evolving security needs. This was highlighted during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, acipm, mnips, the 24th Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command.
CP Yemi John Oyeniyi commended DSSTF for its continued support, especially the equipment already provided for the interrogation room at the Police Headquarters. He called for regular engagement between the Police and the Trust Fund to ensure that support is directed towards priority needs of the police (such as patrol logistics, communication tools, training and security infrastructure).
In response, the Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF), Hon. Daniel Mayuku Esq assured the Police Command that discussion were already ongoing on key intervention areas, including the proposed command and control center. He said the Trust Fund remains committed to initiatives that will strengthen operational efficiency and improve security architecture of the State.
